A quick note to remind you of the seventh in this season of Sunday Sessions, which will be getting underway in just under two and a half hours from now.
Tonight, I’m speaking with M. R. O’Connor, the author of Ignition: Lighting Fires in a Burning World, a book which tells the story of her journey into working as a wildland firefighter and controlled burn fire-setter. There are lessons in this book for all of us who are thinking about what it means to face climate change not as a threat that could be averted, but an unfolding reality, entangled with other consequences of the ways in which many of us have been living in recent generations.
I’m excited about this conversation and glad to be able to invite paid subscribers to join us and bring questions of your own. As usual, there will also be a full recording available to paid subscribers – while the first forty minutes will be released publicly on YouTube and elsewhere. You’ll find the details for the Zoom call below the paywall on this post. (And if the subscription cost is an obstacle, but you really want to join us, then just send me a mail and I’ll sort you out with the link.)
