R.G.'s come up with exactly what I've been thinking. Attention appears to be frustratingly finite. In order for Dougald's eyes, ears, tongue, hunger, etc. to bless and be fed by us for that time means that all those elsewhere had to go without. Thanks to Dougald's home place, including Anna and Alfie, for the generous lend!

I love Wilson's description of the season.

"If you haven't been fed, become bread." I first heard that line from you, Dougald. You got it, I think, from Martin Shaw, who got it from who knows where. It came to me as I finished reading your post, because of how nourished I feel from participating in this collective journey that you articulate so uniquely and profoundly. And also because it has always been clear to me that you HAVE been fed, loved, since arriving in this life. I think that's part of what makes it possible for you to do what you do. Being open to the conduit of love from the get go allows you to gush it out like a fire hydrant connected directly to the universal aquifer of said substance. I am looking forward to all that will gush forth from you in the coming days, weeks and months, and to continuing to feed you with my love!
